Nuneaton Memories started out as a hobby on Facebook – originally intended to record the history of Nuneaton Carnival. Facebook members started to join and started to post their own stories, photos and memories and today there are over 800 members and each day brings more new members and new memories.
Just one person approving membership and looking out for those who join just to promote their online sales business was a full time job – I had to have some help…in stepped Jacqueline, Patrick & Antony – a great team who approve membership requests and keep their eyes peeled for anything unfriendly or advertising.
The Nuneaton Museum is very interested in the Nuneaton Memories project, so much so that they are supporting Nuneaton Memories with access to their archives. A short film is in the pipeline and this is to be made by Patrick. If all goes well, we hope to actually join forces with the museum and apply for some sort of funding to make a longer documentary type film.
You can pop along and join us on facebook at Nuneaton Memories
